The German Wool Federation represents the wool trade and the wool processing industry. At an international level, the German Wool Federation is a member of  IWTO.

Among its aims is the maintenance of the contacts to other national or international associations in order to represent the interests of the wool trade and the wool industry. It analyses statistic data and is responsible for the functions of German board of arbitration for wool under IWTO rules.

Tasks:

• arbitration proceedings – naming of arbitrators and official experts
• maintenance of “The German arbitration rules for wool”
• general conditions of delivery of the wool trade
• cooperation with the German Institute of Wool Research (DWI), Aachen
