For more than 60 years the standardised conditions of the German textile industry have been a great help for the entire line of business. They have been estabished by the textile and clothing industry in collaboration with the retail market and in a final step revised in 2015. The federal antitrust agency has confirmed the innocuousness of the conditions regarding antitrust laws. According to this, the members of the convention for fabrics and textiles commit themselves to respect the conditions.

Within the framework of the convention, purchasing conditions are controlled by consumers, i.e. concerning their compatibility and standard conditions as well as concerning valid directives towards general terms of business of the German Civil Code and the respective jurisdiction.

Members regularly receive information concerning new purchasing conditions and evaluation of the herein worded clauses.

In the domain of Technical Textiles, the office provides access to the data pool of the study group supply industry, which can be found in a variety of comments of purchasing conditions focussed on automobile supply industry. In case of doubt, the office is able to offer interpretation of the standard conditions. In irregular intervals, training programmes are offered for the sales and distribution departments.
